There will be 14 showings for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ from Jan. 12 to Jan. 26. Tickets are $5.
JACKSON, MI – Jacksonians have another excuse to watch or rewatch the latest ‘Star Wars’ movie.
The historic Michigan Theatre of Jackson has scheduled 14 showings for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ from Jan. 12 to Jan. 26. Tickets are $5.
“We all love Star Wars, here,” Michigan Theatre Executive Director Steve Tucker said. “We can offer it at a little bit better price.”
Boasting a 24-by-34-foot HD screen and a sound system with 36,000 watts of power, the Michigan Theatre offers a great environment to view the film, Tucker said. Popcorn, pop and candy are available for sale and the bar will be open Friday and Saturday nights.
Here’s the list of showings for the film.
Because it is a sub-run theater, the Michigan Theatre cannot typically show new movies when they’re released, Tucker said. Sub-run theaters have to wait four to six weeks before gaining access, he said. The first Michigan Theatre showing is 29 days after the ‘Star Wars’ movie’s Dec. 14 release.
The theater also must show the movie for at least nine days, Tucker said.
“You have to have a certain amount (of viewings) to be able to show this film,” Tucker said. “You can’t just do a one off.”
