Carson Wentz’s significant other is also getting a ring.
The injured quarterback may not have led the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory, but he scored a touchdown in the marriage proposal department.
Wentz revealed he proposed to his girlfriend, Madison Oberg, after the Eagles won their first ever Super Bowl with a 41-33 win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
“She said YES!” Wentz said in a Twitter post. “And now Maddie and I both got us a ring can’t wait to marry my best friend! God is doing some amazing things and I can’t thank him enough!”

Wentz previously made it known he was dating Oberg with an Instagram post in November. He also shared a photo of the two from his hospital room in December after he had season-ending surgery after he tore his ACL and LCL.
He made their relationship public after quietly separating from his previous girlfriend, Melissa Uhrich.
Wentz and his ex had been high school sweethearts who dated all through college even though Wentz went toNorth Dakota State and Uhrich went toConcordia College in Minnesota. The two broke up sometime in 2017, although it’s not clear when they did.
The quarterback hasn’t commented on the breakup publicly.

The Eagles went on to win the title after Wentz went down for the season. Backup quarterback Nick Foles shined for Philadelphia in the postseason, even earning the Super Bowl MVP after passing for 373 yards with three touchdowns.
Wentz hopes to lead the Eagles to back-to-back Super Bowl victories when he returns to the team next season.
