“I knew I had to be smart. You’ve got to be fast,” he said.
A man who witnessed the shooting at YouTube on Tuesday said he wished he had a gun when the shooting occurred.
“I didn’t have a gun on me, but I wish I did,” he said.
He was ordering food across from the company’s headquarters when the shooting started. When asked how many shots he heard, he said about 10 and then others.
“It didn’t stop. It was no mercy. Whoever shot that time, oh, man. It was massive,” he said.
“I knew I had to be smart. You’ve got to be fast. You’ve got to think fast,” he added.
The shooter was reportedly a white woman wearing a headscarf. At least five people were reportedly injured.
Google, YouTube’s parent company, tweeted it was “coordinating with authorities and will provide official information here from Google and YouTube as it becomes available.”
The witness said that the shooting happened at a party at the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California.
