YouTube employees took to social media with one reporting he ‘heard shots’ and had ‘barricaded’ himself inside a room with co-workers (via Guardian).
Employee Vadim Lavrusik followed up his original tweet, revealing staff were safely evacuated and were outside the building.
In posts on Twitter, the San Bruno Police advised locals to stay away from the Cherry Avenue and Bay Drive Hill area of the city.

There is no official word on potential injuries, at the time of writing, but Stanford hospital is currently treating up to 5 patients, while San Francisco General Hospital also confirmed it is treating patients from the incident.
Ominously, a project manager at YouTube Todd Sherman said there were “blood drips on the floor and stairs”.
The status of the reported shooter is currently unknown.
I looked down and saw blood drips on the floor and stairs. Peaked around for threats and then we headed downstairs and out the front.

The incident comes after YouTube banned videos promoting gun sales last month. Whether this incident is at all related is currently unclear.
