Apple has announced that it will be giving RM 240 worth of credit to certain iPhone owners that have replaced the battery on their out-of-warranty iPhone last year. Meant for iPhone 6 and above, the replacement should have taken place from 1 January to 28 December 2017 at an Apple authorized service location in order for customers to be eligible for the credit.
In other words, these customers were likely to have paid the full price of RM 369 to replace the battery on their iPhone. Hence, the RM 240 credit is generally the amount of savings that customers would receive if they changed the battery during the official program that Apple initiated at the end of last December.
Under the program which will last until the end of 2018, customers are able to change the battery at a discounted price of RM 129. As per what we mentioned before, this program is meant for out-of-warranty iPhones.
Meanwhile, do note that the RM 240 credit will be given to customers in the form of electronic funds transfer or a credit on the credit card that they have used to pay for the battery replacement. Apple have also begun to email eligible customers to inform them regarding the replacement credit.
