Here is how to control Eevee’s evolution in Pokemon Quest, and choose whether it evolves into a Flareon, a Jolteon, or a Vaporeon in the recently released game.
Released last month for the Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Quest is now available on iOS and Android mobile devices. Those who are new to the game may be wondering exactly how to obtain some specific Pokemon, such as Eevee’s evolutions Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. While there are no evolution stones to use on Eevee like in the main series, similarly to Pokemon GO, there is a trick that will allow players to control Eevee’s evolution.
In Pokemon Quest, the key to Eevee’s evolution is all about its stats and level. Eevee won’t evolve until it reaches level 36, and its stats at level 36 will determine if it evolves into the fire-type Pokemon Flareon, the electric-type Jolteon, or the water-type Vaporeon.
If Pokemon Quest players want their Eevee to evolve into Flareon, then its attack stat needs to be higher than its HP. To get Jolteon, Eevee’s attack and HP stats must be about the same, roughly within 50 to 100 points of each other. And finally, to evolve Eevee into Vaporeon in Pokemon Quest, Eevee’s HP stat must be higher than its attack stat.
To influence Eevee’s stats, players need to equip different stones to it. To swap stones, simply click on Eevee’s icon while at the base camp. Here players can drag and drop stones from their inventory to Pokemon, and vice versa. So for example, players could remove all the attack-based stones from Eevee when it’s level 35 to make it evolve into a Vaporeon at level 36.
This means that controlling Eevee’s evolution in Pokemon Quest should be fairly easy, as long as players know which stats need to be influenced to make it evolve into the Pokemon they want. After all, players are able to simply re-equip their desired stones after they successfully evolve Eevee into their Pokemon of choice.
Evolving a cube-shaped Eevee in Pokemon Quest should be fairly simple now that players know the requirements to obtaining Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. Of course, they will still need to set out on many expeditions in order to earn enough XP to help Eevee reach level 36.
Pokemon Quest is out now for Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.
