Two-car crash in Concord kills 71-year-old man, injures four

A 71-year-old Sacramento man died Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Concord Boulevard near Third Street in Concord, authorities said.
The driver of the other vehicle was a 32-year-old Concord woman who had a 10-year-old and two 8-year-old passengers in the car, according to the Concord Police Department. All four people in the vehicle were transferred to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been a factor in the accident, police said.
