We all know that Samsung will be introducing the flagship Galaxy Note 9 smartphone on August 9 at an event in New York. While the smartphone’s complete spec sheet is yet to be leaked online, we have been seeing various Galaxy Note 9-related leaks pop up online lately. Now, with just over a month remaining for the official unveiling of this handset, we have case renders of the smartphone, revealed by popular case maker Olixar.
The case manufacturer mentions that it has prepared the cases in the following forms: a Flexible rugged casing with a premium matte finish ( Sentinel), black and clear Olixar ExoShield tough case, and the crystal clear Olixar ExoShield tough case, the so-called Silicon one. Apart from these, the case maker has even listed the new Leather View Cover case in red and brown colour options, which will be similar to the flip cover. Coming to the design detailed by these cases, we can see that the handset will have a bezel at the bottom, much like the ones seen on the Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus. The smartphone will come with a repositioned fingerprint sensor module, which will be located below the dual camera sensors. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, the device will also have an iris scanner, as seen in the case renders above. The case renders also suggest the Galaxy Note 9 might come with dual cameras on the front and perhaps advanced 3D facial recognition technology as well.
As far as the specifications of the Galaxy Note 9 goes, it is believed to sport a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display that might have 2960 × 1440 pixels resolution, resulting in an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is supposed to be powered in by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 chipset in some of the markets. While in the rest of the regions, Samsung will introduce the handset with its in-house developed Exynos 9810 SoC. The smartphone is supposed to come packed with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage options. On the software front, it may boot Android 8.1 Oreo-based Samsung Experience UI out of the box.
In terms of imaging, the Note 9 is assumed to ship with a 12MP dual camera setup, featuring a wide angle lens and telephoto lens. On the other hand, at the front, it might feature an 8MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens. Keeping the lights on is supposed to be a 4000mAh battery that no doubt will support fast charging and also wireless charging. As of now, these are only the rumoured specifications of the handset. With the launch date of the smartphone approaching closer, we might get to see the actual render of the smartphone if it receives TENAA certification in China before its launch.
