Sony Mobile has announced a permanent price reduction for three of its Xperia phone in India, the Xperia XZs, Xperia L2, and the Xperia R1. The new pricing will be effective from today, i.e. July 6,2018.
The Japenese phone manufacturer has announced that the Xperia XZs will now retail at Rs. 29,990 (down from Rs. 39,990), the Xperia L2 is available at Rs. 14,990 (reduced from Rs. 19,990), and the Xperia R1 at Rs. 9,990 (down from Rs. 10,990). The new pricing for each phone has been updated across e-commerce platforms like Amazon.in, Flipkart, along with physical stores like Sony Centers, and others.
If you have been planning to buy any of these Sony smartphones then now is the right time to make the decision and bring one home. To recall, the company launched the Xperia XZs and the Xperia R1 last year in India while the Xperia L2 debuted in February 2018.
The most expensive amongst the three phones is the Xperia XZs, which debuted in India in April 2017. The phone packs a has a 5.2-inch full-HD Triluminos display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with an Adreno 510 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. For optics, the phone has a 19MP Motion Eye rear camera equipped with 960FPS super slow motion capability. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie snapper with a f/2.0 aperture, 22mm wide-angle lens, and SteadyShot 5-axis stabilisation. It supports connectivity options such as 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C (USB 3.1) port, GPS + GLONASS, and NFC. A 2900mAh battery backs the device with hybrid charging – Qnovo adaptive charging and Quick Charge 3.0.
The Xperia L2 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display at 720×1280 pixels resolution and Sony’s in-house Image Enhance Technology. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera with 120-degree wide angle lens. It supports connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C, FM radio, NFC, and GPS/ A-GPS. A 3300mAh battery backs the phone with Qnovo Adaptive Charging.
Lastly, the Xperia R1 bears a 5.2-inch HD TFT display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. It comes powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. On software side, the Xperia R1 runs Android Nougat out-of-the-box. The phone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus, and Exmor Sony sensor. On the front, it houses an 8MP camera for selfies. It is backed by a 2620mAh battery and supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, and USB Type-C.
