While Black Ops 4 will feature a battle royale mode but, Black Ops 4 Battle Royale won’t be a run of mill battle royale experience.
Developer Treyarch is changing a lot of things with the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 4 as the game won’t feature a tradition singleplayer campaign and will feature Black Ops 4 Battle Royale mode called “Blackout”.
While Black Ops 4 will feature a battle royale mode but, it won’t be a run of mill battle royale experience that every other game offers.
According to the developers, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Battle Royale is an experience that players won’t get anywhere else.
Speaking with Edge magazine, producer Miles Leslie talked about the upcoming Call of Duty Balck Ops 4 and how the developers are aiming to keep their game distinctive from others with the inclusion of a battle royale mode.
According to Leslie, the developers are working hard on the upcoming title and want to create a legacy of their own which is an experience that players can’t get anywhere else.
According to Leslie, it’s not the Black Ops 4 Battle Royale that sets it apart from other titles out there but the way character moves, health model and more which sets the game apart.
However, Black Ops 4 is not the only the game that will be featuring a Battle Royale mode and EA DICE has announced that Battlefield V will also feature a Battle Royale mode.
However, just like Treyarch is putting a spin of its own on the genre, DICE is doing the same with battle royale as Battlefield V Battle Roayle will build upon destructive environments and squad play.
Speaking of the Black Ops 4, as we mentioned earlier Treyarch has let go of the single-player campaign for the upcoming title.
However, sources have revealed that Treyarch did plan to feature a singleplayer campaign but it was scrapped to include the “Blackout” battle royale mode.
It is possible that the emergence of PUBG and Fortnite in the gaming industry might have forced Treyarch to include a battle royale mode.
However, in order to do include the “Blackout” the studio had to ditch the singleplayer campaign for the upcoming Black Ops 4.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is a first-person multiplayer shooter in development at Treyarch and is scheduled to launch on October 12,2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
