Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, married her husband, Glendon Crain (real name Brendon Miller) in 2015; the couple has one child together.
“ My client Stormy Daniels and her husband Glen have decided to end their marriage,” Michael Avenatti tweeted. “A petition for divorce was filed last week, the accuracy of which is vehemently disputed.”
The announcement comes just weeks after Daniels was arrested in Columbus, Ohio at a strip club and charged with three counts of “Illegally Operating Sexually Oriented Business – Employee Knowingly Touch Any Patron.” Prior to her arrest, Daniels was reportedly touching the breasts of patrons, using her own breasts to touch patrons, and even put an undercover officer’s face between her breasts. She was released on $6,000 bond.
Hours later the charges were dropped and Columbus Ohio Police Chief Kim Jacobs claimed “one element of the law was missed in error.”
According to TMZ, a judge granted Crain a restraining order against Daniels.
“Stormy’s daughter remains her number one priority,” Avenatti added “She kindly asks for privacy for the sake of her family.”
In recent months, Daniels has been touring around the U. S. at different strip clubs, but cancelled an appearance during the weekend due to “family issues.”
Daniels came to fame after she claimed she had an affair with President Donald Trump in 2006.
