BlackBerry has already started working on the KEY2 LE and may announce very soon
BlackBerry KEY2 was launched in India on July 23 for a price of Rs 42,990. The KEY2 is a much-upgraded version of the last year’s BlackBerry KeyOne. Looks like, the smartphone maker has already started working on a new smartphone called the KEY2 LE. A new report suggests that the KEY2 LE will be a souped down version of the KEY2. Meaning, the upcoming KEY2 LE will be an affordable smartphone.
According to a report coming from Android Police, BlackBerry has already started working on the KEY2 LE and may announce the phone very soon. the exact timeline of the launch is yet to be revealed. This is for the first time that renders of KEY2 LE have been leaked in renders, revealing some of the key specs and also the design of the handset.
Going by the renders, looks like the BlackBerry KEY2 LE will come with similar design pattern as the KeyOne, especially the design of the QWERTY keypad. Besides the KeyOne, BlackBerry is expected to borrow some features from the newly launched the KEY2 as well. Looks like the KEY2 LE will come with the shortcut button just as the KEY2.
As far as the specs of the BlackBerry KEY2 LE are concerned, the smartphone is expected to come with a 4.5-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×1620 pixels resolution. KEY2 LE is further said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. As of now, the smartphone is expected to come in only one RAM variant – 4GB. On the storage front, the BlackBerry KEY2 LE is said to come in two models – the base version with 32GB, while the top-end model with 64GB.
On the camera front, the KEY2 LE is expected to sport a dual camera system on the back consisting of 13-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Details of the front camera are yet to be revealed. In addition, the BlackBerry KEY2 LE is said to be backed by a 3000mAh battery.

As of now, there’s no information on the price of the KEY2 LE. However, considering it is said to be the toned down version of the KEY2, it will definitely be cheaper than the KEY2. The KEY2 in India is priced at Rs 42,999, so we can more or less expect the KEY2 LE to be priced somewhere between Rs 30,000 – 35,000 approx. As of now, there are no words on the launch timeline of the phone and whether or not it will come to India.
