Mazda and Suzuki have reportedly admitted to conducting improper fuel economy and emissions tests on their vehicles in Japan, in revelations which would pile further misery on Japan’s beleaguered manufacturing sector.

According to Nikkei Asian Review, both carmakers have submitted reports to Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, detailing their findings of suspect tests during the quality assurance process.
