“This is going to become a bad meme,” Chuck Todd says in response to Rudy Giuliani’s comment “truth isn’t truth” on NBC’s “Meet the Press”
Rudy Giuliani perplexed “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd Sunday when the former New York City Mayor and President Trump’s current attorney said, “Truth isn’t truth.”
Giuliani made his usual stop on the weekend news shows Sunday to continue the narrative that the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is a “witch hunt” and that there is “no collusion.” Todd asked if Trump’s legal team has “delayed the negotiations” to if/when the POTUS would be interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“Look. I am not going to be rushed into having him testify so that he gets trapped into perjury,” Giuliani answered. “And when you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he’s going to tell the truth and he shouldn’t worry, well that’s so silly because it’s somebody’s version of the truth. Not the truth. He didn’t have a, a conversation…”
Todd smiled and rebutted, “Truth is truth.”
“No, it isn’t truth. Truth isn’t truth,” Giuliani continued. “The President of the United States says…”
Todd threw his head into his hand and laughed in disbelief. “Truth isn’t truth?” he interrupted. “Mr. Mayor, do you realize what…?”

Laughing and rolling his eyes up, Todd grinned, “This is going to become a bad meme.”
He was right about that. “Rudy Giuliani” and “truth isn’t truth” have both trended on Twitter since his early morning comment, with many scratching their heads.
