Red Dead Redemption 2 developer claims they look beyond traditional story and side missions. Speaking with the official Xbox Magazine, Rockstar North’s Imran Sarwar that the studio prefers to create a range of different experiences for players access and move out of.
They are not only going beyond story and side missions but they are making this the most detailed Red Dead game to date. Character customization, as well as real-time facial hair animations, are going to be a part of Red Dead Redemption 2. And who can forget the shrinking horse testicles?
Even random engagement with NPC is handled by a new engagement system. You can engage with any NPC you wish to and be presented with various options on how to engage. You can freely kill them, of course, and have a bounty placed on your head which turned into its own activity. Police will run you out of town but you can pay your bounty or spend time in jail.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing on October 26 for PS4 ( PS4 Pro bundle was announced earlier) and Xbox One. PC version is rumored to be in development but Rockstar Games has denied its existence. But interestingly, even other developers are requesting a PC version at this point.
