The name of the victim has not been released by police.
LANSING, MI — A 22-year-old student at Michigan State University was shot and killed early Friday morning according to the Associated Press.
The student, a native of Texas was found by East Lansing police after they received a call about people fighting and sounds of gunshots in the complex located in the 2500 block of Chandler Road.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No suspects have been identified by police nor have the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The name of the victim has not been released by police. The department did say there appears to be no further danger to the public. The apartment complex is approximately two miles north of the MSU campus.
The shooting remains under investigation.
