Here is where to find all three Jack Hall Gang treasure maps, how to solve their clues, and finally, how to find the Jack Hall Gang treasure in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has treasure maps that Arthur Morgan can collect on his journey, which feature visual clues for players to find more maps that in turn lead to some hidden treasure. One of the treasure maps that players can get early on is the Jack Hall Gang treasure map, and like the Poisonous Trail treasure map, it features three different maps that players have to collect before they can find the treasure.
Here is how to complete the Jack Hall Gang treasure maps in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Before players can begin treasure hunt for the Jack Hall Gang treasure, they need to find the first treasure map. As it so happens, the map is in the possession of a person named Maximo, who Arthur Morgan can interact with. Speak with Maximo, and he will offer to sell the map to Arthur for $10, though players also have the option to rob him; the latter option may result in players getting a bounty on their head.
The treasure map will lead players to Caliban’s Seat, a rocky formation located south of Valentine. Caliban’s Seat is actually a named location on the map, so that should make it easier to find. Players should be cautious upon arrival, though, as cougars seem to be prominent in the area. It may even be a good idea to hunt a cougar or two before continuing the search for the Jack Hall Gang Treasure Map 2.
To find the Jack Hall Gang Treasure Map 2, climb to the top of Caliban’s seat. There should be a campsite up here, with a slope to the right on Arthur’s right when approaching it. Take that slope down, and then turn to the left. Follow the cliff wall in this direction, but be warned that there is a fairly dangerous gap Arthur has to jump across. At any rate, follow the cliff wall until it goes no further, and there should be an indent in its side. Search here to find the Jack Hall Gang Treasure Map 2.
The Jack Hall Gang Treasure Map 2 points players to Cotorra Springs, located northwest of Fort Wallace. Upon arrival, players will be notified that a legendary animal is in the area, so it will be good to come back and hunt it later. In the meantime, players need to find the Jack Hall Gang Treasure Map 3, which is located in one of the many piles of rocks scattered around Cotorra Springs.
By studying the Jack Hall Gang Treasure Map 2, players should realize that the geysers are the best indication of where to look. Approaching the area from the south, the geysers should be spread out in a triangle formation. Check the rock piles in their center to find the next treasure map. When looking at the world map, this rock pile is located directly east of the second “O” in “Cotorra.”
Travel east of Cotorra Springs to O’Creagh’s Run. Swim to the middle of the lake to find a small, rocky island. There is a patch of grass on the island that can be looted for two gold bars, completing the Jack Hall Gang treasure map quest.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
