For the past few years, Samsung has released a high-end Android flip phone in Asia and it looks like this year will be no different. After some leaks, the W2019 could arrive as early as next week.
Just yesterday we got a very detailed look at Samsung’s unannounced high-end clamshell Android phone for this year and today, it looks like we are finally getting a release date.
If the new information posted by tech blogger “bang_gogo_” on Twitter is accurate, the new device could be announced and maybe even be made available for sale on November 9. The image looks to be a teaser, showing off the letter “w” which could be constructed by two W2019 phones partially opened.
Although the specifications of the phone are unknown at this time, there has been speculation that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. One thing to note is that it will not have a proper headphone jack and will instead require users to either use a Bluetooth headset or a USB Type-C adapter.
If the past is any indication, the W2019 will undoubtedly be quite expensive like its predecessors and will most likely only be available in Asia. Luckily, we will only have to wait a week to find out the full details.
