Nov. 7 (UPI) — President Donald Trump is expected to tout key Republican victories in the midterm elections during a live speech from the White House on Wednesday morning.
The speech begins at 11:30 a.m. ET.
In a series of tweets Wednesday morning, Trump said those that supported him and his policies did well.
“Those that did not, say goodbye!” he said.
He quoted pundits who remarked on some of the Republican Party’s wins. The party won some toss-up races in state gubernatorial elections and expanded its majority in the U. S. Senate, but lost control of the House of Representatives.
The Democratic control of the House of Representatives could lead to new probes into the Trump administration, but the president warned his opponents against following that path.
“If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level,” Trump said. “Two can play that game!”
