The Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Max M2 will cater to the budget segments in India with powerful specifications and updated designs.
Asus has been teasing their updated Zenfone Max series for a while on their social media. Both the phones are expected to be unveiled today at an event in New Delhi. The Zenfone Max M2 is supposed to be the more affordable one of the two phones while the Max Pro M2 is expected to compete head-to-head with the likes of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 6 Pro, Motorola One Power and Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Asus has been focusing highly on class-leading internals for both its smartphones. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 will sport the Snapdragon 660 chipset whereas the Max M2 will have to make do with just Snapdragon 632 chipset. Asus has already confirmed that both the phones will run stock Android out-f-the-box. Also, the Max Pro M2 has been confirmed to feature Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Both these smartphones have already been launched in Russia, where the Max Pro M2 has been priced at RUB 17,990 (approximately Rs 19,500) whereas the ZenFone Max M2 is selling for RUB 12,990 (approximately Rs 14,000).
The Zenfone Max M2 sports a 6.28-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Max M2 achieves a modern design with a display notch sitting on the top while there’s a noticeable chin at the bottom. Asus hasn’t mentioned the kind of protection they are using for the display.
