Pink opened up about her struggle with her body image and why she’s comfortable getting candid about it in her music.
The pop singer described the significance of some of her lyrics from her new song “Happy” in an interview published Monday by USA Today.
“Since I was 17, I’ve always hated my body / and it feels like my body’s hated me,” Pink wrote in her new song. “The reason I said [that] is because I’ve always had this very tomboy, very strong gymnast body, but actually at 17 I had a miscarriage, and I was going to have that child,” Pink revealed to the magazine.
