The Michigan health department has reported the lowest number of deaths in a single day since March, with 5 deaths in Sunday’s report.
This brings the state death toll to 5,228. Its the lowest daily report since March 22, only three days after the first death was reported.
Sunday’s report of 314 new cases was the lowest number of daily cases reported since May 4, when an incomplete count was reported due to technical difficulties. Excluding May 4, this is the lowest daily case report since March 23.
The holiday weekend may have affected Sunday’s report, a spokesperson from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services said.
