Surface Earbuds owners are reporting an issue in which Microsoft’s wireless earbuds create a popping or hissing sound before and after audio playback.
Microsoft confirmed it’ll investigate a sound issue with the Surface Earbuds after several early adopters filed identical reports, according to Neowin. Surface Earbuds owners with affected units say they’re receiving a popping or hissing sound before and after audio playback.
In the Microsoft Community forum, one user claims it lasts for a few seconds and isn’t very quiet.
Microsoft learned of the sound issue as customers took to the forum in force to gain visibility. Since an undeniable number of customers are stuck with affected units, Microsoft needed to launch an investigation. The Surface Earbuds hit the market just two weeks ago.
