Scarnecchia shared his thoughts on the Pats’ new starting quarterback during an appearance on SiriusXM Radio.
Prior to his retirement this offseason, former Patriots assistant Dante Scarnecchia had been one of two coaches who predated Bill Belichick in New England and the NFL’s longest-tenured coach with one team.
So even outside the building, Scarnecchia still knows the Pats better than most. Which made his remarks about Jarrett Stidham this week to SiriusXM Radio all the more interesting.
During a phone interview, Scarnecchia said he expects Stidham to endure some growing pains this season, as the youngster attempts to replace Tom Brady at quarterback. He believes Stidham will hold the ball too long on certain plays.
