The new Pokémon Snap is called New Pokémon Snap, and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch.
The Pokémon Company has revealed that an updated version of Nintendo 64 classic Pokémon Snap is coming to Nintendo Switch. New Pokémon Snap appears to be directly based on the 1999 fan-favourite game and is in development at Bandai Namco.
Like the original, the game puts players in the role of a wildlife photographer as they try to capture images of Pokémon in the wild. From the press release:
Photograph lively wild Pokémon in their natural habitats as you research and explore unknown islands. Journey through a variety of environments such as beaches and jungles to capture previously-unseen Pokémon behaviors. The photos you take can also be used to fill out your very own Pokémon Photodex!
You can see the first footage of New Pokémon Snap from the 05:17 mark in today’s Pokémon Presents! broadcast. Other announcements included a new tooth-brushing app for kids called Pokémon Smile, a dreary mobile puzzle game called Pokémon Cafe Mix, and confirmation that Mega Evolutions are coming to Pokémon Go.

Carrion, the upcoming monster horror game from Phobia Game Studio, will launch on Nintendo Switch in addition to PC and Xbox One this summer.
Devolver Digital has announced that Carrion, the self-proclaimed “disturbingly fleshy reverse-horror game” from Phobia Game Studio will be released this summer on Xbox One, PC, and, in a new development, the Nintendo Switch.
In Carrion, players take control of an amorphous being that must prey and consume the inhabitants of a mysterious facility. It’s a twist on the 2D action-platformer format that features stunning art direction and animation. From what we’ve seen so far, it looks like a deliciously gory Metroidvania that will appeal to fans of Alien and John Carpenter’s The Thing.
The good news is that it’s summer right now, so hopefully, Carrion will be infiltrating our homes very soon. The 2020 Devolver Direct showcase planned for mid-July will likely confirm the game’s final release date.
Special Reserve is also releasing a physical version of the game on Nintendo Switch day-and-date with its eShop release. In the meantime, you can download a sneak peek of Carrion right now via Steam.
