Prominent NBA Players And Even Some Owners Protested This Weekend

Former player Matt Barnes said Monday that “key players” are considering sitting out the season in honor of George Floyd.
Giannis Antetokuonmpo, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry and many other high-profile NBA players took to the streets this past weekend to march in protests against racism and police brutality, while other basketball luminaries, including LeBron James and Michael Jordan, spoke out publicly as well.
Although LeBron James didn’t appear at any public protests this past weekend, he has been vocal in his support of the Black Lives Matter movement since the death of George Floyd, which has sparked 13 consecutive days of protests, demonstrations and riots that have captivated the country.
