The protests around racial justice, sparked by George Floyd’s death at the hands of police officers in May, are resonating with most Americans.
That support is at odds with the Trump administration and Attorney General Bill Barr, who have taken an increasingly hard line against the protests.
On Tuesday, Barr claimed “violent rioters” have “hijacked” peaceful protests, during his opening statement before the House Judiciary Committee.
