The liquored-up Comedy Central show will not be returning to our screens after six seasons.
It’s a sad day for history buffs, TV watchers and drinkers as Drunk History has been canceled after six seasons at Comedy Central—here’s why. Based on the popular web series, Drunk History is the liquored-up narration of America’s history. Comedy Central has reportedly decided to axe the show as the network moves away from live-action scripted shows and moves towards adult animation, per Variety. The decision may come as a surprise to fans, as it had already been renewed for a seventh season, with pre-production already underway. But show bosses have now made the decision to pull the plug before filming. The show followed host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of actors and comedians, traveling across the country to present stories from every city, narrated by liquored up guests.
