On Friday, three movie theater groups will open their doors for the first time since March, including the Cinemark Raleigh Grande, five local AMC locations and Marquee Cinemas at Wakefield Commons. Just like everything else that has reopened, the experience will be different. Rose Garvey, the manager at Marquee Cinemas, said tickets and concessions will be sold behind a plexiglass shield, and markings and signs will remind guests to maintain social distancing and wear a mask. Masks must be worn when in theaters and common areas unless you are eating. Fewer people will be seated in each theater so movie goers can be seated at least six feet apart. No one will sit directly in front of anyone else.
