NASA’s Mars rover used a camera on its robot arm to snap dozens of images, which were stitched together to create the selfie.
(Credit: NASA) The Perseverance rover on Mars has just taken one of the best selfies ever. On Wednesday, NASA published the photos, which show the rover seemingly snapping a picture of itself alongside the Ingenuity drone on the Martian surface. The photos were taken the day before. Perseverance was built with a rather long 7-foot robotic arm. The same arm has a wide angle camera, enabling the rover to snap images of itself.
