Nokia T20 is HMD’s first tablet that has entered the affordable market in India, but can it become a better option than the Realme Pad or the Lenovo Tab K10? Let us discuss.
Nokia T20, HMD Global’s first tablet, is finally here in India only a few days after its launch in Europe. The new Nokia Android tablet is an affordable option for anyone who wants to do a lot of video calling and web browsing and binge-watch movies or shows. It has got a big display, stereo speakers, and a front camera to let you do all of that – for a price of Rs 15,499 for the entry model. At that price, Nokia’s new tablet is easily recommendable. There are good reasons for me to do that, considering Nokia is a trusted brand. However, there is hardly a product category that has not seen neck and neck competition. With the surge in demand for tablets, companies like Realme and Lenovo recently launched their tablets to capture the market. That is the competition that the Nokia T20 may have to face in the Indian market. When I say the Nokia T20 is a good option, I mean that it seems like a good investment, at least based on the specifications alone at this point in time. But that is not to disregard the competition, which, in the form of low-cost tablets such as the Realme Pad, or even the latest Lenovo Tab K10, makes you not settle for the first thing you see on the market. That is because there are a few things that Nokia’s new tablet does not have, even at a higher price for the entry model. The Realme Tab starts at Rs 13,999. So does the Lenovo Tab K10. Both prices are around Rs 1,500 less than what the base model of the Nokia T20 costs, which is why a quick comparison of the specifications will give you a better idea about which one to go for. In the display department, the Nokia T20 is as good as the Realme Tab or the Lenovo Tab K10. While the Nokia T20 and Realme Tab support a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels, the Lenovo Tab K10 falls a little short at 1920×1200 pixels, which is a small difference that will not necessarily translate into an inferior experience on it.
