Government funding will run out on February 18, unless a bill to fund the government is passed by Congress and signed by President Biden.
The House has passed a bill extending government funding through March 11. The final vote was 272 – 162. Texas GOP Congressman Chip Roy voted “present,” and New Jersey Congressman Josh Gottheimer was the only Democrat to oppose the bill, known as a continuing resolution. The bill, if passed by the Senate and signed by President Biden, would extend federal funding at current levels for just over a month. The current continuing resolution is due to expire on February 18, but Congress is out of session next week, so lawmakers plan to wrap up their votes on the measure this week.
