Disney recently had a big Star Wars celebration event where they showed off a lot of closed door trailers, and announced a whole bunch of new shows. Unlike the MCU, Disney has more or less put the movie part of Star Wars on hiatus and are concentrated on an increasingly involved series of live action and animated shows on Disney Plus that will join the existing ones we have already, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi. And there are about to be a lot more. Here’s the schedule and the announced series that we know about:
Andor (August 31, 2022) – Following Cassian Andor before the events of Rogue One, this series just got a new trailer and a release date. It’s next up after Obi-Wan. The Bad Batch Season 2 (Fall 2022) – We always knew this was coming back, but we now know approximately when the animated series will return.
