The singer, whose weight was criticized by Kanye West earlier this month, appeared to be sending a message to critics with her Halloween attire.
Lizzo has been on the receiving end of “fatphobic” comments from beleaguered rapper Kanye West in recent days, but the singer seems to be pushing back with her choice of Halloween costume.
“Notorious P.I.G,” she tweeted on Monday afternoon alongside photos of her dressed as the Muppet—complete with platinum blond hair, blue contacts and a fake hog nose.
West had dragged Lizzo during an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that aired on October 6.
“Lizzo works with my trainer, a friend of mine, Harley Pasternak,” the hip-hop star said at the time. “When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots […] on Instagram, they attack her for losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal, when it’s actually unhealthy.
