North Korea has fired a ballistic missile toward South Korea’s eastern waters, Seoul has said, the latest in a barrage of weapons tests in recent days.
South Korea’s joint chiefs of staff said the launch was made early on Sunday but gave no further details, such as how far the weapon flew. The Japanese prime minister’s office also confirmed the launch on Twitter.
“North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile. More updates to follow,” the office said.
