Time to go bowling.
College football’s bowl season has arrived. A schedule consisting of more than 40 bowl games between December 16 and the national championship on January 8 has been set. Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Alabama were revealed as this season’s College Football Playoff top four by the selection committee Sunday afternoon. These four squads will compete for the national title. The first two teams out, Florida State and Georgia, will meet in the Orange Bowl as a consolation prize of sorts.
The national focus will be on the playoff over the next month or so. But there are plenty of other matchups for college football fans to mark on their calendars — from New Year’s Six showdowns to the Mayo Bowl.
