In a video tweeted out by Fetterman and apparently bought through Cameo, a website that lets people pay celebrities and other public figures to record personal video messages, Santos tells Menendez to “stand (his) ground,” adding: “Don’t get bogged down by all the haters out there. Stay strong!”
Menendez—similar to Santos—is facing calls for expulsion, including from Fetterman, after being charged with four counts of bribery and acting as an agent of the Egyptian government, as federal prosecutors allege Menendez took bribes from Egyptian officials and private businessmen in exchange for information and favors.
