Right-hander Lucas Giolito and the Red Sox agreed to a two-year, $38.5 million contract on Friday night, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed. The Mets had been showing strong interest in Giolito, The Post’s Mike Puma reported earlier this week, but instead, he will try to bounce back in Boston.
Another rotation option for the Mets is now off the board.
