Vessel traffic in and out of the Port of Baltimore is halted indefinitely after Tuesday’s collapse, port officials said, leaving the status of imports up in the air at the nation’s 20th largest seaport according to federal statistics.

More than 847,000 cars and light trucks moved through the Port of Baltimore in 2023, more than any other U.S. port, according to the state of Maryland.
