Baldur’s Gate 3 has completed its own Grand Slam of Game of the Year Awards with last night’s win at the BAFTA ceremony, following its previous triumphs at The Game Awards, Golden Joystick, New York Game Awards, DICE Awards, NAVGTR Awards, Steam, GDC Awards, and our own Awards.
Larian’s cRPG masterpiece also brought home three additional BAFTA prizes (Narrative, Music, and Performer in a Supporting Role for Andrew Wincott’s Raphael performance) and the EE Players’ Choice Award voted by the public.
Baldur’s Gate 3 director and Larian founder Swen Vincke said in his acceptance speech:
Thank you, BAFTA; thank you, everybody. I still can’t believe we’re standing here. We look at the footage of all the games that have been nominated and they look so fantastic.
