Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga make a somewhat unlikely team. Each musician’s catalog does not sound like the other’s, and the two have taken different paths to superstardom. All that said, their new joint single “Die with a Smile” has the makings of a smash, and it seems that audiences are loving the just-released track.
“Die with a Smile” was released at midnight EST on Friday (August 16), as most songs drop at the very beginning of the last day in the workweek. That’s when the tracking period starts again in the music industry, so artists will usually share albums and songs then in order to have the greatest amount time in which to rack up streams and sales, and potentially send their efforts toward the top of the charts.
