Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed Wednesday that Kyiv’s forces had struck four airfields in Russia.
Satellite images have been released showing the aftermath of Ukrainian drone strikes on two of the four Russian airfields targeted on Wednesday.
Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed Wednesday that Kyiv’s forces struck four airfields in Russia’s Voronezh, Kursk, and Nizhny Novgorod regions—the Khalino, Savasleyka, Borisoglebsk and Baltimore airfields, which house “Russian military aviation, Su-34 fighter bombers, Su-35 fighter jets and other enemy military aviation equipment.”
“The main objects of damage were warehouses with fuel and munitions”, it said.
Schemes, the Ukrainian investigative unit of U.S.-funded Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, published satellite imagery from California-based global imaging company Planet Labs showing “the consequences of strikes by Ukrainian drones” on the Borisoglebsk military airfield.
