Two little letters in a re-released ‘Tortured Poets Department’ track may have just said it all.
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has picked back up following thwarted terrorist plots ahead of her Vienna shows. And her most recent era accompanying her album The Tortured Poets Department continues. As is par for the course with Swift’s various eras, the “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” hitmaker has dropped some new Easter eggs.
Swift, 34, revealed new iterations of The Tortured Poets Department on Thursday, August 15, one of which features a live performance of “Thank You Aimee” from London. Upon the announcement, Swifties were quick to notice some potential shade within the song title’s stylization.
On the original pressing of The Tortured Poets Department, “Thank You Aimee” is stylized as “thanK you aIMee.” As the capital letters spelled out “KIM”, this led fans to think the song is about Kim Kardashian — with whom, Swift was in a public feud after Kardashian, 43, leaked a video of a phone call that took place between Swift and Kardashian’s then-husband, Kanye West.
