The Dodgers are likely to lose one of their stars before the playoffs.
The Los Angeles Dodgers were hoping for some good news regarding ace starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow and instead received some of the worst news that they could have. According to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Glasnow is “highly unlikely” to return this season after suffering a sprained elbow.
Insider Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic broke the news on social media.
Glasnow was scheduled to throw a simulated game against liver batters on Friday in Atlanta but, it was called off. The big right-hander felt discomfort in his right arm, the same arm that sent him to the injured list in the first place.
“He just felt some discomfort in his arm”, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told Juan Toribio. “We felt we should cut it short and couldn’t go through with the sim game.
