Swift may take home up to 12 VMAs on Wednesday night, which would make her the most awarded musician in the show’s history.
Pop singer Taylor Swift could become the most decorated musician in the history of the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Wednesday night following her endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Swift has been nominated for 12 awards—eight for her “Fortnight” music video released in April for her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, two social categories, one for the Best Pop category and one for Artist of the Year.
Post Malone, who is featured in “Fortnight” is nominated along with Swift 10 times and also has a nomination for his country song “I Had Some Help”, featuring Morgan Wallen.
The pop star has 23 VMA awards under her belt after winning nine last year. She only needs eight to become the most-awarded musician in VMA history, a title currently held by Beyoncé, who has 30 VMAs. Madonna has 20 awards and Lady Gaga has 19.
