Apple will release the newest iPhone operating system soon.
Apple announced the iPhone 16 lineup, the new Apple Watch Series 10 and more at its event on Sept. 9. (CNET already got hands-on with the Apple Watch Series 10 and new Watch Ultra 2 color.) The tech giant also announced online that it will release iOS 18, the next iPhone operating system, on Monday, Sept. 16 — which is when I predicted it would be released.
