The lovable and fearless Krypto is always ready to help save the day.
Since his first appearance, Krypto the Superdog has warmed the hearts of many comic book fans worldwide. Superman’s Kryptonian canine has proven to be more than just a pet, repeatedly saving the Man of Steel on multiple occasions and even leading his legion of super pets.
Although he can be troublesome at times, Krypto always has his best friend Kal-El’s back and best interest at heart. Despite his small size, equipped with the same powers as Superman, he always helps save the day alongside other heroes and on his own. Although Krypto doesn’t necessarily save the day with Superboy and perhaps causes more issues than he solves, this story is a true classic and captures the meaning of Man’s Best Friend. In the end, Krypto chooses to leave Earth, saving Clark from having to make a tough choice, showing how good of a pet and friend he really is.5 The Best Gift (Teen Titans #7)
In the 2003 Teen Titans comic run, Superboy moved in with Martha and Jonothan Kent in Smallville. Superman was hoping that by living with the Kents, his clone would learn to become comfortable around humans and would be surrounded by the most supportive people he had ever met.
