“That’s ridiculous. You can’t miss that.”
Jayson Tatum fell to the floor in pain after landing on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s foot during the third quarter of Boston’s 113-107 win over the Bucks Sunday night.
Tatum, who elevated for a corner 3-point shot, landed on one of Antetokounmpo’s feet, appearing to roll his ankle.
He was able to finish out the game, but he was visibly upset as cameras showed him talking to an official shortly afterwards.
Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla wasn’t happy about it either.
“That’s ridiculous. You can’t miss that,” Mazzulla said, shrugging his shoulders. “You can’t miss that.”
Tatum finished with a 31-point, 12-rebound double-double, helping the Celtics erase an 11-point halftime deficit. He knocked down 13 of his 15 free-throws and notched six assists against five turnovers.
