Los Angeles Angels minor leaguer Rio Foster was involved in a “serious” car accident as a passenger, according to the team.
In a statement released to the public on Friday, the organization provided an update on Foster, who remains in critical condition.
“Earlier today, the Angels Organization learned that Rio Foster, a member of our Tri-City affiliate, was a passenger in a serious accident in Richland, WA”, the statement read.
“Rio is currently receiving medical care at a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
