iPhone Air sales disappoint, Apple scales back production by one million units

Apple is reportedly reducing iPhone Air production by one million units due to weak demand, while iPhone 17 models see increased production and stronger global sales.
A recent report revealed that Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, known for its ultra-thin design and smaller battery compared to other S25 models, has reportedly struggled with sales. As a result, the company is said to have cancelled the Galaxy S26 Edge from next year’s lineup, replacing it with the Galaxy S26 Plus, which was previously thought to be discontinued. Now, a similar situation seems to be unfolding for Apple, as a new report claims that the iPhone Air, despite its sleek, ultra-thin form factor and flagship-level specifications, is also facing slower-than-expected sales.iPhone Air demand falls behind other iPhone 17 models
According to The Elec, which cites Japan’s Mizuho Securities, Apple is expected to scale back production of the iPhone Air by around one million units this year due to lower-than-projected demand.
